Young Engineers Curriculum Page

Young Engineers is a hands-on science and technology program designed for fifth grade students to provide problem solving experiences that are not usually available in a standard elementary school curriculum. Students are exposed to engineering principles and are encouraged to think like engineers. In the process of completing fun challenges, they learn the steps of design engineering: brainstorming, planning, building, testing, and redesigning.

The program was delivered after school two days a week for the entire year. Each session was one hour in length. The Young Engineers curriculum presented here consists of two sessions:
